Supporting Children’s Language Development and Sensory Needs
Lady Gowrie Qld with the support of Workforce Council are pleased to provide the opportunity for Affiliated Members, to participate in a one day workshop with Pam McDonald, Occupational Therapist and Belinda Fisher from Let’s Talk Developmental Hub. Pam and Belinda have a wealth of experience in supporting early childhood education and care staff, school staff and families in supporting children in a range of developmental areas.
During the one day workshop two focus topics will be covered sharing Language Development (understanding language and language development, red flags, facilitating language development especially oral language skills as these underpin literacy development). The second session will focus on Sensory Needs where participants will gain further understanding of sensory issues and children’s sensory needs. This session will also cover strategies to create a sensory smart environment. Participants attend for the full day workshop and the flow of the day will provide many opportunities to enquire with presenters and share practical ideas on further supporting children at your service both now and with future enrolments.
