‘More than cool tools – embracing technology with intention’

There is no denying that digital technologies are an ever-present and pervasive part of children’s contemporary lives and, increasingly their identities as learners. When embedded with intention, digital technologies can be innovative and effective tools in strengthening opportunities for teaching and learning, extending the curriculum and supporting learning outcomes for children.

Come and join in a night of rich conversation in which we explore what contemporary research is telling us about young children and digital technology and unpack the recommendations from the Australian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for the Early Years (Birth to 5 years). Engage in healthy debate as we explore the possibilities, potential and challenges of digital technologies and consider how digital activities may be incorporated in meaningful and intentional ways appropriate to the needs, expectations and experiences of your education and care community.
