Walk on Country - Full Day Group

Description

Kindy Uplift aims to build the capacity of Educators to provide culturally safe, inclusive, and responsive kindergarten programs. Quandamooka Walk on Country will provide an opportunity for Educators to engage in professional learning to strengthen professional practice in embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in your services and to learn more about local communities First Nations’ histories, knowledge systems, cultures, languages and country.

 

Inclusions:

  • Cultural tour facilitated by Delvene Cockatoo Collins & Aunty Maree Goebel, supported by Gowrie Kindy Uplift Advisor.
  • Donations to 2 organisations on the Island.
  • Art experience, where participants create a piece to take home, supported by Delvene.
  • Lunch, tea & coffee.
  • Option to do ½ day session (returning to Cleveland on the 1.30pm ferry) or stay on for the full day session including the Point Lookout Gorge walk.
  • Returning on the 4.55pm ferry to Cleveland.
  • Water taxi Cleveland – Dunwich (return)
