Transition Meeting

Guest Presenters: Dr Amanda McFadden and Dr Lisa Sonter “Transition planning and practices in a time of disruption”

Description

Most likely you are thinking about, having shared conversations, and planning for transition practices at the moment. This year, we have the added layer of the impacts of COVID-19 on children, families and communities to consider. Rethinking about transition practices at this time enables us to reconnect with transition for children and families as a time for elevating social and emotional wellbeing, opportunities for community engagement (maybe with new technologies), and for using data to inform our thinking.  In this session we will look at what new research is saying about this disrupted period and have a shared conversation about how we can use this information effectively to support transition practices. The session will also look at ways we can use our AEDC data to inform transition planning and practices.
